Listerine Ultraclean

I recieved a complementary bottle of Listerine Ultraclean mouthwash in Artic Mint from Listerine and Crowdtap for sampling purposes.

I really enjoyed using this mouthwash. Sometimes I get that thick saliva feeling in my mouth and most other mouthwashes don't seem to help but this one took care of it. The next morning I woke up and my mouth still felt completly clean and no thick feeling. The clean feeling is great, you feel confident that your mouth is clean and your breath is fresh for hours.

I use mouth was regularly atleast once a day at night if not both morning and night. I usually just pick whatever I have a coupon for or can get a good deal on. I had some Listerine mouthwash that I was using before I got this sample but I like this sample even more then what I was using.

I think it hahas a good flavor and if your not used to mouth wash it can be a little intense at first.

The new "Ultraclean Listerine with everfresh technology controls tartar build-up, kills plaque & gingivitis germs, keeps breath fresh for hours".
It has a "powerful dendentist clean feeling up to 3x longer".

I definitely recommend this mouthwash if you want a good clean that protects your teeth!

My Holiday Beauty Look

One of the challenge missions this month on Crowdtap is to create a holiday Make-up look. Winners will get a "(1) Clarisonic Mia 2; (2) Anthropologie hand towels; (1) Meyer's Clean Day candle"!!!!

So I created my own little holiday make-up look. I'm no beauty queen or make-up expert but I love to play around and try out new looks. This look is pretty simple and not too over the top so it should be easy for most to do and something a lot of people will feel comfortable pulling off.

One of my favorite make-up brands is Bare Minerals so you will see a lot of their products along with a few other brands I've gathered from birch box and things I like to use.

What you will need:

  • Some type of facial cleanser and mositurizer (I use HD clear from DõTERRA, it's an essential oil brand)
  • Some primer, face and eyelid (I used bareminerals prime time eyelid primer and their prime time brightening foundation primer)
  • Foundation (I just started using bareminerals new Bareskin liquid foundation in bare linen 03 I'm so pale D: I really like it and feel like concealer isn't really necessary for me with this but you may also want a concealer if your using another foundation or need some more coverage) along with a brush if needed ( I used bareminerals perfecting face brush)
  • A luminizer  or highlighter, you can skip this if you don't have one or don't want to use it (I used bareminerals READY Luminizer in "the shining moment" a shimmery pearl color)
  • A bronzer (I used shimmer bronzing powder from Model co. (Modelcosmetics.com) which  I got in my birch box one month)
  • A blush ( I used bareminerals blush in "Enchanted" which is a Rouge color and their precision eye and cheek brush)
  • One thing I can't live without, mineral veil! I used bareminerals original mineral veil with their hydrate and brighten brush. Any translucent finishing powder will do bUT I definitely recommend bareminerals.
  • Eyeshadow (I used bareminerals "velvet vanilla" eye color which  is a very light almost white skin colored shadow and bareminerals "downtown" eyecological which is a glitter brown with a purple tint to it. One of my favorite things about this ey shadow is it doubles as a liner, just grab a brush and a little water and you've got a new color of eye liner).
  • eye liner (I used bareminerals big and bright eyeliner in midnight, a very deep blue that looks almost black)
  • Some mascara and an eyelash curler (I used Maybelline mega plush volume express in blackest black and an EllE lash curler)
  • Last but not least some tinted lip gloss ( I used bareminerals marvelous Moxie lip gloss in "jet setter" which is a deep raspberry, purplish color).

Here is what the finished look will look like (please excuse my skin, I just finished up finals week and have a lot of stress going on right now so I've got a quite a few bad breakouts, and my pictures are embarissing  lol)

Here's how to get the look:

  1. You want to start with a clean face, so go ahead and do your normal skin care routine, I recommend cleansing, using something to help fight breakouts like the DõTERRA topical blend I use and following up with a moisturizer.
  2. Next you will want to prep your face for your make up, since I use eye shadow for this look I like to use an eyelid primer along with a foundation primer. Just apply a little primer all over your face (follow the directions on your primer bottle, many usually say a little goes a long way!) Then dab some eyelid primer over your eye lids.
  3. Now it's time to apply your foundation. I didn't use any concelear (because I am all out of concealer and I didn't feel like I needed any additional coverage) so if you want to apply some concealer do it before this step. I used bareminerals bareskin liquid foundation with their perfecting face brush. If you use this just simply add a drop or two of foundation and work at smoothing the foundation over 1 area at a time (like forehead, cheek, nose and chin, etc) work on making sure your foundation looks smooth and even, covering aby blemishes or dark marks without getting caky  looking.
  4. Next add some highlighter or iluminizer. I used bareminerals READY Luminizer in "the shinning moment". Apply a little to the middle of your forehead, above your cheek bones, and down the bridge of your nose. You can also add a little under your eyebrows above your eyelids.
  5. Next your going to want to add a little bronzer, I used shimmer bronzing powder from Model co. I love that it has a little shimmer  to it which I think it perfect for the holidays. I applied a little to my forehead focusing more on the sides and less in the middle, down the sides of my nose. To get my checks I make a fish face then apply it in the indented porton of my cheeks and apply a little to my chin and above my lip. Make sure you apply sparingly, you don't want to look like you got a bad fake tan or your face is a completly different color then your body. Carefully go back over your face and blend the bronzer in a bit so it looks natural.
  6. Next it's time for a little blush. I used bareminerals "Enchanted" blush along with the precision eye and cheek brush. Simply  smile and add a small amount of blush to the apples of your cheeks (the top part that kinda puffs up and out). You want to add enough to give yourself a little color but not too much that you look like you got sunburned or your embarrassed.
  7. Now we can start on the eyes, you'll wanna choose two colors. One should be darker and the other a light color. I chose "velvet vanilla" and "downtown", both bareminerals eyecolors. I started by applying a little "velvet vanilla" in the inner corners of my eyelids. Next I took "downtown" and applied it to the outer corners of my eyes blending it in toward the middle of my lid and swooping some into the crease toward the middle. I then took a little more "velvet vanilla" and started in the inner corner and worked on blending the two colors in the center of my lid.
  8. Next I added some eyeliner. I used bareminerals big and bright eyeliner in midnight which is a deep blue, almost black color. You can use a simple black or brown liner as well or if you used a bareminerals eye color you can take a brush and add a tiny amount of water to the lid and stir in a little powder from one of your eye shadows to make your own eye liner. I lined the entire top lash line of my eye and then lined the bottom lash line from the outer corner about 3/4ths of my eye, you can line just the top or completly around your eye, choose whatever looks best for your eye shape, I found this looks best on my eye shape.
  9. Next I put on a translucent power to set my makeup and help absorb any oils which will keep me from getting too shiny. I like to use bareminerals original mineral veil. I just lightly dust this over my entire face, including my eyelids, with the hydate and brighten brush.
  10. Then I curl my eyelashes with a lash curler. I like to curl like noral with the curler placed as close to your lash line as possible then place the curler about midlash and curl again, then place curler near tips and curl again. Go back and curl them normally one more time. Now apply your mascara like normal. For this look I also applied mascara to my bottom lashes. Have a q-tip near by incase you get some mascara on your skin so you can easily wipe it off even in small spaces.
  11. Lastly I applied some tinted lip gloss. It's not a bad idea to exfoliate your lips before adding your lip gloss so your lips stay nice and smooth and your color looks it's best. You can do this using a little sugar (white or brown) and some honey or coconut oil. Then gently exfoliate and wipe off mixture. If you want to use some lip liner to help keep your lip gloss in place go ahead and add that first, I didn't use any lip liner and my lip gloss stayed in place. I used bareminerals marvelous Moxie in jet setter which is a deep purple almost raspberry color.

And that's it, now you have a nice simple but fun holiday look. Throw on a fun holiday scarf or a simple black dress with a statement necklace and your ready to go.
